Will A Swimming Cap Keep My Hair Dry?

Whilst no swimming cap will keep your hair 100% dry they will offer you some protection. The reason why no swimming cap is able to do this is because water creeps up whilst your head is below the water line.  The rubber caps do offer more protection & are a closer fit  They also have a inner seal which helps to repel the water. The fabric swim turbans are designed to be splashproof & are ideal for gentle swimmers, aqua aerobic classes etc. They are usually made from a high quality polyester then have a thin splashproof lining inside (a bit like a shower cap).

I Have Long Hair/Short Hair/A Large Head/A Small Head, Do You Have A Hat That Will Fit Me?

Why Do I Need A Swimming Hat?

There are lots of reasons why it’s a good idea to wear specially designed hat for when you go swimming.  The most obvious is for hygiene reasons. A swimming cap helps to protect the hair, scalp, and ears from pool water & keeps the pool clean. A lot of pools do require a swim hat to be worn whilst swimming, especially in Europe. (bear that in mind when packing for your next holiday.) It is easier to swim when hair is covered and out of the way If your hair is coloured, braided or you have extensions then it is recommended to wear a swimming cap. The swimming cap  will protect your hair from the harmful effects of chlorine if you are swimming in chlorinated water.If you are swimming outside, then a swim cap will protect your hair from the sun and elements Swimming hats are great if you swim if you swim in the sea or go wild swimming. A swimming hat will help to stop the heat escaping from your head therefore helping to keep you warm. Also a brightly coloured swim hat will enhance your visibility whilst swimming outdoors A swim cap will keep earplugs in, if worn.
